In the summer of 2010, Jeremy and I moved up to our dream house in our dream location. We moved out of our town house in San Jose and up to our much larger and more private home out in Pine Mountain Lake (PML) near Yosemite National Park.
Since the move, our lifestyle has evolved. We now pay greater attention to our overall health and wellness. For example:
- We Drink Raw Milk
- We enjoy Cooking with Fresh Herbs
- How We Eat is more in tune with nature
We also fly throughout California with greater frequency. Hiking and camping are regular activities.
This blog shares the journey of life in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
can’t wait to read more of your blog! I love the recipe stuff and the kudos to those in your community that support your lifestyle. let me know if you want me to share recipes in the same vein.
Thank you, Lisa.
We would love to have you share some of your recipes!
I love this site and can’t wait to read more! Very interesting information on raw milk!
I’m glad you found the site. There are several previous posts you’ll be interested in, too. And there will be more we’ll share along the way.
Please pass along to the rest of the family. It will be beneficial to everyone. (The margarine we ate growing up – is not good for us. We now eat real butter!)
I just found your blog and LOVE the articles! Your information is GREAT. Our family is making many happy and healthful changes in what we eat. Like you, we are attempting to eat organic as much as possible – thanks to the wonderful food sources available in Tuolumne County
Do you ever do workshops?
Hi Cathy,
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. We haven’t entertained the idea of workshops, but there is a good group of like minded folks in the area (we’re in Groveland). Where do you live?

It is interesting; we have the oldest organic gardens in Palo Alto. About 40 years ago, I decided that no chemical will be used in our soil and we planted lots of herbs (to cook with) and lavender is all around as well as lemon verbena.
We enjoye cooking fro scratch and lots of beans with olive oil..Thanks for sharing.
